The blower is mainly composed of motor, air filter, blower body, air chamber, base (also oil tank) and oil drip nozzle. Its working principle relies on the eccentric operation of the biased rotor in the cylinder, and makes the volume change between the blades in the rotor slot to inhale, compress and spit out the air.

The NTC thermistor in the blower is the resistor used to control the speed of the blower fan in the car. The fan speed can be changed electronically by switching the blower resistor resistance mechanically, using a rotary lever, or electronically through the air conditioning system. The change in resistance then limits the current through the motor, which determines how fast the blower can work.

The MF58 NTC thermistor produced by Mintron Electronics, with axially tinned (copper-clad nickel-iron) wire, is characterized by small size, very short response time, heat resistance and high stability. It is an NTC thermistor very suitable for blowers.

Let's take a look at the characteristics of the MF58 NTC thermistor

      1. The glass body DO35 package provides hermetic sealing and voltage insulation, and can work in high temperature environments.

      2. Small size, sturdy, easy to install automatically.

      3. Fast induction and high sensitivity.

      4. Working temperature -45℃ to +250℃.

      5. The rated resistance at 25°C can be 2kΩ-1.388 million ohms.

      6. Typical resistance at 25℃ is 2k ohm, 5k ohm, 10k ohm, 20k ohm, 47k ohm, 50k ohm, 100k ohm, 200k ohm, 500k ohm, 13.88 million ohm, etc. Tight tolerances for resistance and beta values.

      7. Loss factor: ≥2.0mW/C in still air.

      8. Thermal time constant: ≤12 seconds in still air.
