　　Category 1: Fixed Resistors

　　Fixed resistors are basic elements that use certain materials to block current flow. The resistance value is the characterization of the resistance that hinders the current flow: the fixed resistance is a resistor whose resistance value is constant or neglected, and it is the most used component in electronic production. Once a fixed resistor is made, its resistance value is fixed.

　　Hydrocarbons decompose in high temperature and vacuum and deposit on porcelain rods or tubes, forming a crystalline carbon film. Different resistance values can be obtained by changing the thickness and length of the carbon film.
