NTC B value 3950 (B 3950NTC thermistor)

　　The B value is the material constant of the thermistor, that is, the chip (a semiconductor ceramics) of the thermistor resistor (a semiconductor ceramics) forms a material with a certain resistivity after a high temperature sintering. There is only one B value at each formula and sintering temperature. So it is called material constant.

　　The B value can be calculated by measuring the resistance value at 25 ° C and 50 ° C (or 85 ° C). The B value is positively correlated with the product resistance temperature coefficient, which means that the larger the B value, the larger the resistance temperature coefficient.

　　The temperature coefficient refers to the change rate of the resistance value for every 1 ° C of the temperature. The following formula can be used to replace the B value to the resist temperature coefficient:

　　Resistance temperature coefficient = B value/t^2 (t is the absolute temperature value to be converted)
