      Thermal relays are overload protection devices, mostly for three-phase use. You can use multimeter resistance gear *100 or *1K or use diode gear to measure whether the main circuit terminals are open or not. If one or more groups are open, it will be bad. On the contrary, it is normal, but also to see if the normally closed contact is normal, it is closed in normal state (it has a manual button, you can press it by hand to see if the action is the normally closed contact is disconnected), when the load current exceeds The thermal relay will automatically disconnect when the rated current is reached, so that the load contactor coil is de-energized and disconnected to protect the load.

      The thermal protector is a thermostat that uses a bimetallic sheet as a temperature sensing element. When the electrical appliance is working normally, the bimetallic sheet is in a free state and the contacts are in a closed/disconnected state. When the temperature rises to the operating temperature value, The bimetal element is heated to generate internal stress and act quickly, opening/closing contacts, and cutting/connecting the circuit, thus playing a role in thermal protection. When the temperature drops to the reset temperature, the contacts are automatically closed/opened, and the normal working state is restored. Widely used in home appliances motors and electrical equipment, such as washing machine motors, air conditioner fan motors, transformers, ballasts, electric heating appliances, etc.

      Precautions for the use of thermal protectors:

      1. When using contact temperature-sensing installation, the product should be close to the installation surface of the controlled appliance.

      2. Do not collapse or deform the plastic or metal shell during installation, so as not to affect the performance.

      3. For metal shell products with insulating jackets, do not remove the additional insulating jackets or crush them during installation to avoid leakage and ensure safe use.

      4. The product should be stored in a place where the relative humidity is less than 90% and the ambient temperature is below 40°C, which is ventilated, clean, dry and free of corrosive gases.
