　　1、 Different raw materials:

　　PTC thermistors are resistors made of a mixture of barium titanate, titanium oxide, tantalum, silicon dioxide, and manganese. Within the temperature range, the resistance value increases with increasing temperature and decreases with decreasing temperature.

　　NTC thermistors are resistors made by sintering two or more metal oxides such as manganese, copper, silicon, cobalt, and iron. Within the temperature range, the resistance value decreases with increasing temperature and increases with decreasing temperature.

　　2、 Different functions:

　　PTC thermistors are not only used for temperature measurement and control in industry, but also as heating elements and also serve as "switches". They have three functions: sensitive elements, heaters, and switches, known as "thermistors".

　　NTC thermistors are used for temperature measurement, temperature control, temperature compensation, and also for liquid level sensing.

　　3、 Different applications:

　　PTC thermistors, as heating elements, can be applied to heaters, soldering irons, wardrobes, etc., providing overheating protection for electrical appliances. They are also used in smart meters, transformers, motors, switching power supplies, chargers, adapters, instruments, etc.

　　NTC thermistors are used for temperature measurement in fields such as granary thermometers, food storage, medicine and hygiene, scientific farming, oceans, deep wells, glaciers, etc.
