    Thermistor Calibration Method

      The advantage of the thermistor is that it is very sensitive to temperature changes, but sometimes it is also a disadvantage. The disadvantage of the thermistor is that it has strong nonlinear characteristics. This is a characteristic curve showing the resistance of a typical NTC thermistor device over the temperature range of 0°C to 100°C.

      There are five main calibration schedules in common, but some of them are broken down into subgroups.

      1 - This type of calibration is only available for certain types of thermistors (thermistor standards and ultra-stable thermistor probes). With the help of a consistent temperature bath, immerse the monolithic block in water to calibrate the thermistor.

      2 - This type of calibration is used for all types of glass probe thermistors. All temperature and time related stability requirements must be found and verified prior to calibration according to this plan. Tubs and tubs are also used in this method.       3 - It is important to verify stability requirements before calibration begins. This program works with glass-enclosed beads and probes.

      4 - This schedule is also very similar to 3, so they are sometimes confused. This program applies to all thermistors. To do this, measure resistance using a Wheatstone bridge or a digital meter. In some cases, a data acquisition system can be used.

      5 - This also applies to all thermistors. For this purpose, digital meters are used to aid in calibration.
