NTC Thermistor 100K Specifications

　　An NTC thermistor is a thermal element with a negative temperature coefficient that can pass a strong current of 1 to 10A. The typical characteristic of thermistor is that it is sensitive to temperature, showing different resistance values at different temperatures. Its characteristic is that the resistance value decreases with the increase of temperature.

　　The resistance and temperature comparison table of NTC thermistor mainly focuses on several aspects: temperature, NTC resistance, resistance tolerance and B value.

　　The B value is a material constant, which is determined by the ceramic material from which it is made, and describes the gradient of the resistance (R/T) curve over a specific temperature range between two temperature points. Each thermistor material will have a different material constant and therefore a different resistance versus temperature curve. The B value will then define the thermistor resistance value (called T1) at a first temperature or base point (usually 25°C), and the thermistor resistance value at a second temperature point (eg, 50°C, called T2). Therefore, the B value will keep the thermistor material constant over the range of T1 and T2. That is B: T1/T2 or B: 25/85, a typical NTC thermistor B value is between about 3000 and about 5000.
